First “threat” to the gulf coast?

Well, happy Saturday.

We have a med chance for development in the BOC with a cluster of thunderstorms. Chances over 5 days is currently 40%. No reason to panic. Still a ways off. Most likely will be a sloppy storm and be more of a rain threat vs wind. But can still cause issues for wherever it goes. Timeline looks to be mid to late next week, so Father’s day could be a wet one.

May the 4th be non severe for you!

May 4th is setting up for most of LA and MS to be another round of severe weather.

A small area is under a hatched risk for “gorilla hail” or hail 2″ or bigger. Alex will see weather around lunch and sela after. Pars of swla could see some action as well. Tornado risk is there but cells located ahead of the line pose the greatest risk. Depending on cold pool setup, could see some training with localized flash flooding.

As always, have multiple ways to get alerts.

Late april

Herr we are, April 26. Southeast LA and a good chunk of the southeast US has seen some significant severe weather. We’ve been having some good rain also. But soon we will transition to summer, and hurricane season.

Working on expanding the site to cover sw la and eventually north la. Those will have river levels, nws info and local readings.

New year, Better Weather?

So….. Here we are, Feb and just had a record cold in TX and LA! We got down to 17 where I’m at. But hopefully thats end of the cold. I dont know about you, but im ready for Spring and Summer!

We are approaching our Spring Severe WX season, so have multiple ways to recieve alerts, as these events can happen quickly.

And June 1 starts our 2021 Hurricane season. Start prepping now so you dont get caught off guard!

Last note, i do plan on trying to be more active on the site. Share the page and SM accounts.

Hello!!!!

Thanks for visiting my site. I’ve created this site with the hopes of providing weather for southeast Louisiana. I love weather, I love learning about it and hope to continue!! I hope you get something from this site. If not, we’ll thanks for visiting anyways!!! Leave a comment on how I could improve and I’ll see what I can do.

I have always had a liking for weather but it was more than just looking at the clouds. I’ve always loved looking at storm structures, tracking thunderstorms across the landscape (in person and on radar). I’ve always been intrigued on how hurricanes interact with the global atmosphere. Now all I wonder is why didn’t I got to college to become a meteorologist!!! I continue to learn and see what limits I can push myself to!!
